Ireland Six Nations 2023 Squad announced, Get Schedule & Team News
A 37-man squad has been named by the Ireland Coaching Team for the upcoming Guinness Six Nations Championship, which kicks off with a trip to Cardiff to face Wales on Saturday, 4th February.
Fabien Galthie’s side will be at Aviva Stadium in Round 2 as Ireland attempts to win for the first time since 2019. France won 15-13 when they last faced off in Dublin the previous year, following a score differential of just six points between the two sides in Paris.
Round 3 will see Ireland travel to Rome to face a resurgent Italy, which has won over Australia and Wales in recent years.
Andy Farrell’s side visit BT Murrayfield in Round 4 to play Gregor Townsend’s Scotland, and six days later, Ireland host England at Aviva Stadium in the final game of the Championship.
All of Ireland’s upcoming Six Nations games are sold out, and will be broadcast live on free-to-air television and radio across channels such as RTE, VIRGIN, BBC, ITV, RTE Radio, and BBC NI Radio. With the addition of Leinster’s Jamie Osborne to the squad as an uncapped player, Ireland Head Coach Andy Farrell commented that the Six Nations is a great chance for the team grow. Last year, the Irish were able to secure second place in the rankings with four wins and five bonus points for a total of 21 — enough to win them their first Triple Crown since 2018.
