Irish Rugby Suffers Blow as Kilcoyne’s Injury Forces Him Out of Six Nations

Dave Kilcoyne will miss the Six Nations after his club Munster announced he would be out for at least six months following shoulder surgery.

Kilcoyne had the operation on Thursday, Munster said.

As well as playing in Ireland’s Grand Slam win, the 35-year-old has 56 caps and made four appearances as a replacement in last year’s World Cup in France.

The Irish will play France in Marseille on Feb. 2 in their first Six Nations match.
