Scotland Zander Fagerson doubt for Six Nations 2023 due to injury

A hamstring injury will keep Scotland forward Zander Fagerson out of the 2023 Six Nations.

On 3 December, the 26-year-old tighthead prop sustained the injury during Glasgow Warriors’ win over Zebre.

The Warriors say he is “expected to be out of action for the foreseeable future, pending an ongoing assessment”.

In 2021, Fagerson, who has 54 caps for Scotland, was selected for the British and Irish Lions squad.

Scotland’s Six Nations campaign kicks off with a Calcutta Cup match away to England on 4 February.

As a result of a knee injury he picked up last week, Edinburgh winger Darcy Graham could miss the game at Twickenham.

After missing the autumn Tests, Glasgow’s Scott Cummings and flanker Rory Darge are racing to be fit for the tournament.
